Technical Marketing with a Human Touch
Why Me?
tl;dr I've been 'doing it' forever, and I'm pretty good at writing and talking about it.
I've been working in IT since the year started with a ‘1’. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—from helpdesk analyst to product marketing director—which has given me a unique blend of communication and technical skills rooted in a deep understanding of real-world challenges and the people who face them.
I’m very much a ‘jack of all trades’ with a solid grasp of technology, from dusty old operating systems to generative AI and most things in between. While I wouldn’t call myself a developer, I’ve written plenty of short scripts to solve annoying problems and have a ‘good enough’ understanding of coding fundamentals to explain security vulnerabilities in most programming languages. Just don’t ask me about asynchronous callbacks in JavaScript—my eye might start twitching. Over the years, I’ve dabbled in C, BASH, PowerShell, Perl, PHP, Python, and JavaScript.
I've also spent significant time working with networking and storage systems, CI/CD build systems like GitHub, Azure DevOps, and AWS CodePipeline, as well as Kubernetes and proxies/load balancers.
More recently, I’ve focused on cybersecurity, working in product and solution marketing for SAST, SCA, CSPM, runtime protection, AI-powered code remediation, and API security.
My key strength lies in creating technical content that bridges the gap between engineering reality and marketing positioning. I aim to educate, inform, and inspire customers about a product or service—always ensuring the content is accurate and useful, but also engaging, pleasant to consume, and ideally, memorable.
